FAQs

  • As a End-of-Life Coach I support an individual with a recent or long term diagnosis to navigate the mental, emotional, and spiritual containers of their life.

I often ask, “If you had 3 months to live, what is it you would want to accomplish with the remaining days of your precious life?”

I help to create comprehensive end of life plans. I provide legacy work development, live wakes with you present to receive, discuss final wishes & advanced directive, & help to connect you with resources in the community to get your affairs in order. Any questions you have regarding end of life planning I can assist you & if I personally cannot, I will find someone who can.

By getting your affairs in order before you die, having the difficult conversations, & making your wishes be known, you can be more present with your loved ones in each moment. This truly is a gift & a radical act of kindness to yourself & those you love.

Together, we create a vision for your remaining days and your wishes for your final moments.

We accept that death is a natural event in life and that through death and sorrow we truly learn the meaning of love and life.

Just as a sunsets in the evening, a new sun will rise & a new day will be born. Birth and death are beautiful cycles in life to be honored & appreciated.

  • Anyone interested in deepening their connection & understanding of death will benefit from a End-of-Life Coach.

Those who have a chronic debilitating condition or illness will especially benefit from working with a End-of-Life Coach.

  • An End-of-Life Doula provides emotional, spiritual, & mental non-medical support to those who are dying. A doula honors your final wishes, advocates for you, provides support & respite to loved ones, & supports the dying in a non-medical way that is necessary at the time of transition.

As a doula I embrace the power in death and view it as a transformative practice in surrender and letting go.

A doula provides support to the client and family in a way that is unique to them by honoring their individual values. A doula’s deepest desire is that everyone dies with dignity and a sense of love & fulfillment. Even though we release our last exhale on our own, a doula will be there with you in every single breath and beyond.

  • Hospice and End-of-Life Doulas complement one another in the palliative care model.

Hospice and end-of-life doulas often work in tandem with clients. Doulas provide holistic support alongside hospice if they are present. People who are familiar with hospice know that typically there are a certain number of hours hospice can spend with your loved one due to a myriad of reasons. A doula is present as often as you need and is readily available.

Hospice would provide medical support while a doula provides more of a mind, body, soul approach to the dying process and end-of-life planning solutions.

  • There are several institutions that train End-of-Life doulas to receive a certificate.

For example, I completed my training at the Conscious Dying Institute (CDI).

  • A Grief Companion is a supportive person for those who are experiencing immense sorrow & grief.

I believe most suffering in our human experience is due to unprocessed grief & our inability to express our sadness.

Through my training & study with Francis Weller & The 5 Gates of Grief, grief stems deep within from: the losses in our life, ancestral traumas, expectations we did not receive, sorrows in the world, & places within ourselves we do not love or accept.

Through discovering the sorrows within, we embrace our humanity & set ourselves free.
